I had to request this to see why everyone was talking about it， and now I completely understand！ This was a beautiful book about friendship， but even more so it was a beautiful collection of illustrations and life lessons。

Five stars are not enough。 This is my best read of the month， if not the year。I've seen this in bookstores for awhile， but didn't know much about it and never got around to picking it up。 Today I received it as a gift and， upon reading it， immediately began kicking myself for not doing it sooner。 More than once I wanted to cry from the simple， sweet wisdom of it all。 You can sit with each page for an hour， soaking it in and thinking about what it means to be loved。My biggest problem is that I do Five stars are not enough。 This is my best read of the month， if not the year。I've seen this in bookstores for awhile， but didn't know much about it and never got around to picking it up。 Today I received it as a gift and， upon reading it， immediately began kicking myself for not doing it sooner。 More than once I wanted to cry from the simple， sweet wisdom of it all。 You can sit with each page for an hour， soaking it in and thinking about what it means to be loved。My biggest problem is that I don't know what genre to count in my reading journal - it's a graphic novel， sure。 But it's philosophy and happiness and self-help。 It's a fairy tale。 It's magic。 。。。more

Loved， loved this story。。 and would love to give it to my grandchildren for their collection。 The pictures will draw them in and they can revisit the content， when not on their screens。 The message is good。But， they will not be able to read it alone because of the font。。。 they cannot read cursive！ Gosh darn it！

I've had this on my shelf for a good few months now， and I just dipped in and out occasionally， but I finally just sat and read the whole thing in one go and it was so beautiful！ Just really wholesome and affirming and encouraging。 So many parts that I want to engrain into my memory somehow！ And of course， the artwork is gorgeous。 I also loved how cute and humorous it was， particularly the mole with his extreme love of cake。 I definitely want to come back to this when I'm feeling low and am in n I've had this on my shelf for a good few months now， and I just dipped in and out occasionally， but I finally just sat and read the whole thing in one go and it was so beautiful！ Just really wholesome and affirming and encouraging。 So many parts that I want to engrain into my memory somehow！ And of course， the artwork is gorgeous。 I also loved how cute and humorous it was， particularly the mole with his extreme love of cake。 I definitely want to come back to this when I'm feeling low and am in need of a pick-me-up， but even right now it reminded me of important things about friendship， vulnerability and self-worth <3 。。。more

I have mixed feelings towards this one。 First off， I love the art style。 I'm not as keen on the handwritten text or the "mistakes" that just so conveniently happen to support the "lesson" being taught。 And really， that's all this book is: a series of Instagram post lessons interested in departing bite sized insight through characters who exist merely to recite the lines being fed to them。 There's no complexity， just sound bytes that -feel- profound and serve to make you feel good。 And， by that t I have mixed feelings towards this one。 First off， I love the art style。 I'm not as keen on the handwritten text or the "mistakes" that just so conveniently happen to support the "lesson" being taught。 And really， that's all this book is: a series of Instagram post lessons interested in departing bite sized insight through characters who exist merely to recite the lines being fed to them。 There's no complexity， just sound bytes that -feel- profound and serve to make you feel good。 And， by that token， the author succeeds。 Some of the conversations are sweet and make you feel warm and fuzzy inside。 Still， I can't rinse my mouth of the feeling that I'm being manipulated by coffee mug wisdom。 You might love it。 Many people will。 I'm just not one of them。 。。。more
